The Estate of Juan Muñoz would like to make clear the following important information about the Conversation Pieces made by the artist in the year 2001, and a subsequent cast.

Through a process of cutting into and welding 22 bronze figures, Munoz created five new Conversation Pieces groups as follows:
Conversation Piece I (4 figures in welded bronze)
Conversation Piece II (6 figures in welded bronze)
Conversation Piece III (6 figures in welded bronze)
Conversation Piece IV (3 figures in welded bronze)
Conversation Piece V (3 figures in welded bronze)

He decided to make only one cast of each group, numbered 1/1, as follows:
Conversation Piece I, 1/1 (4 figures in bronze)
Conversation Piece II, 1/1 (6 figures in bronze)
Conversation Piece III, 1/1 (6 figures in bronze)
Conversation Piece IV, 1/1 (3 figures in bronze)
Conversation Piece V, 1/1 (3 figures in bronze)

The Estate will validate these groups in the catalogue raisonné of the artist’s work that is
currently under preparation.
